My name is Shira Geula. I’m a first-generation American, raised and currently living on Long Island, NY. I hold a Master’s degree in Marketing with a focus on Digital Marketing from Baruch College, and I currently work as a Media Buyer, focusing in financial advertising.
In May 2023, I graduated cum laude from Binghamton University's School of Management with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing and Finance. During my time there, I was involved in many aspects of campus life, such as student government and Greek life.
Friends and colleagues often describe me as goal-oriented, with a strong focus on perfecting the finer details of my work to achieve the most efficient and impactful outcomes. I want to leave my mark on the world through both my current knowledge and the expertise I continue to develop over time.
In my downtime, I love to cook and bake. I am a fan of live music so you might find me at a concert. I am also keen on financial health and often invest and learn about the stock market.
I have always been fascinated by the intersection of psychology and business, and marketing sits perfectly at that crossroads. It constantly drives me to ask deeper questions: What makes someone react to a specific image, phrase, or slogan? Why does a certain font or sound completely shift our perception of a brand?
Growing up just 30 minutes outside of New York City, I was constantly surrounded by marketing in its most vibrant forms. The towering digital billboards in Times Square, experiential pop-ups in the Flatiron District, and high-fashion advertisements covering the buildings in SoHo would frequently make me stop and stare. But more importantly, they made me ask why I stopped. At the same time, attending live concerts showed me the power of brand partnerships—whether a massive tour sponsored by Honda or a local show aligned with a charity. Every experience left me asking two questions: how and why?
These early experiences fueled my passion for an ever-evolving career in marketing. Today, that curiosity translates into a deep interest in experiential, digital, and brand marketing. For me, the true excitement of this industry lies at the intersection of it all: blending a creative, analytical, and strategic approach to connect with consumers in meaningful ways.
